Off-the-shelf bikes are built around averages. A custom build is built around you, your body, your riding style, your goals, and your budget. The result is a bike that fits perfectly, performs exactly how you want it to, and lasts far longer than something picked off a rack. And, it saves you from switching out the parts you really wanted later on.
We always recommend getting a fit prior to a build with one of our fit partners to make sure we get it right and you're comfortable on your custom bike

We work intimately with our frame builders and bike brands to know what works well, how different materials and models ride, fit limitations, and every other little piece of random spec and information. If you've found that you can't find the perfect fit on your current bike, want something hyper-specific, or a bike that no one else has, a custom frame from one of our builders may be the perfect solution.

We ride what we recommend. Between our 20-person staff, we have all tried and experimented with the products that you see and hear about. Through real-world riding, mechanics' experience, and customer feedback, we have seen what works well, what doesn't, and recommend what we truly stand behind.
We stock a large amount of ready-to-build frames at both our NE and NW location. This lets you see the color before you order, guarantees stock, and helps turn your custom build around quickly. We aim to have a selection of our popular frame-up models built so you can try it out for fit and feel before you build your own.
Sometimes, to make a bike work the way you need, we only need to change a few things out. We'll work with you to transform an off-the-shelf bike, and make it perfectly yours with some tweaks.

Depending on the scope of your build, it usually takes 2-6 weeks from the initial conversation to delivering your finished bike
