General Questions

Where are you located?

We have two locations. Our Northeast location is at 2436 NE MLK Jr Blvd and our Northwest location is at 2714 NW Thurman St.

Do I have to pay sales tax at Cyclepath?

Oregon does not have a sales tax, but there is a $15 bike tax. Read more about bike tax here. For out of state orders, please call us for tax specifics 

Do you offer bike fitting?

We offer quick-fits and fit feedback in house. This includes getting your saddle, saddle height, bars, and stem adjusted to get you riding comfortably. For an involved bike fit, we work closely with Endurance PDX (located right next to our NE location!) and Pedal PT. For custom builds, we often recommend getting a bike fit prior to ordering the bike to have the perfect fit on your new bike! 

Can you match prices if I find the same product cheaper online?

We can usually match prices within reason. That said, we remind you to consider the benefits of shopping locally and supporting local shops! It helps us stay in business and we offer full warranty coverage/support on products that we have sold.

Do you have parking?

Yes! Both locations have free parking lots for your use

Do you have Fat Tire Farm sales records?

Yes. We took over the Fat Tire Farm building in summer 2025, and have access to all previous sales and service records to support you. We can assist with warranties and order small/service parts from some FTF bike brands. Please contact us if you're looking for sales/service records, or a specific part to your bike purchased from FTF.

Service

What kind of bikes do you service?

We service all bikes at each location. Road, mountain, gravel, cyclocross, e-bikes, commuters, etc!

Do you service mountain bike suspension?

Yes! We have an in-house factory-level suspension service center that services all major brands of cycling suspension components. Read more here

Do you build custom bikes and wheels?

Cyclepath’s motto is “Custom Bike Love”. Custom builds are the center of what we do! From swapping a few parts around to full custom bikes, wheels and decals or paint, we can do it all.

Do you offer tuneups?

Yes, although our “tuneups” have been adjusted to a la carte services to get you the best value of work for your money/desired spend level. We provide estimates free of charge, so you know exactly what you’d be spending on repairs  

Do I need to make an appointment for bike service?

You can bring your bike by anytime! For quick fixes, we can help you out on the spot. For more involved tunes or repair work, we suggest you leave the bike for a couple of days so we can give your thorough estimate. Once the estimate is approved, we will schedule your service out to the next available date   

Bikes

What brands do you carry?

Our main brands are Pivot, Specialized, Ibis, No.22, Enve, Transition, Cervelo, Forbidden, and Open. We also work closely with a variety of other companies and can typically track down what you’re looking for. For a full list of our brands, see here

Do you sell e-bikes?

We sell road, mountain, commuter and kids e-bikes.

Do you sell kids bikes?

We sell kids bikes from balance bikes all the way to full suspension mountain bikes. If you don't see what you're looking for on our website, we might have it in-store, or we can special order it for you.

Does a bike come assembled?

When you order a bike from us, we build it free of charge. With every bike purchase from us you save on shipping and the labor to build it! 

Do you sell used bikes?

We have a consignment program with a variety of used bikes. Each bike that we sell has gone though a mechanical overview and has had any necessary parts replaced.  

Do you take trade-in bikes?

We take in some bikes in on consignment, but don’t offer trade-in value for them. Please note we do not buy bikes.

What does the custom build process look like?

Our custom build process is built for you. We aim to have a variety of bikes assembled so you can try a few bike and component options, then build up the perfect one for you. 

Sales

Can I special order parts from you?

Yes, we are always happy to special order parts for you. The timeframe varies, but typically takes about a week

Can I layaway parts for a sale?

Yes, we can take partial payments for a bike/part and have you pick it up when fully paid 

Can I swap parts out on a new bike to make it work better for my fit or preferences?

We want your bike to fit and work for you perfectly. It depends on the part, but we can usually swap or trade-in parts as needed on new bikes 

Rentals

Do you rent bikes?

Yes. You can see our rental bike, wheel, travel cases, and accessory offerings here. If you rent a bike and decide you want to buy one, we will credit your rental fee towards your purchase if it’s made in 30 days after the rental.

Can I demo a bike before buying one?

You are always welcome to try out any bike we have in-store prior to purchasing. We ask that bikes stay on-road during the wet season and you leave a credit card and drivers license with us.

Saddle Library

What is the saddle library and how does it work?

Saddles are hard to pick. The library aims to have a number of options to try before you buy. It’s a one-time $20 fee to use the library, and if you buy a saddle we’ll take the $20 of the price!

Events & Community

Do you support local groups or trails?

We are platinum sponsors for NWTA, have built our own trail “Ernie’s Journey” at Rocky Point, and support a number of dig days every year! We are also the proud sponsors of a number of local racing and riding teams. Rear more here!

Do you host group rides?

We host rides almost every week. From entry-level group rides to long endurance events, we shoot to have something for everyone. The best way to stay in touch is our Strava Club

Sponsorship

Do you offer sponsorship to riders or teams?

Yes, we sponsor riders, teams, and individuals that race or ride for Cyclepath in the community. If you’re interested in sponsorship or support, please reach out to info@cyclepathpdx.com. We are always looking to support riders that want to give back to our community!

Do you offer discounts?

We offer discounts to Cyclepath ambassadors, racers and riders that we sponsor. We have also partnered with local companies such as OHSU, Nike and Adidas with community discounts and rebates.  If you’re looking for specifics or want to partner with your company about a discount, please reach out to sam@cyclepathpdx.com.

Financing

Do you offer financing on bikes?

Yes. We have the option to use Paypal or Shop Pay financing. Please call for more information.
