Carbon Weave Technology

Without any graphics, this stunning raw finish shows off 3T's carbon weave. The frame is constructed in Italy using proprietary filament-winding + RTM (resin transfer molding) technology. 

Filament winding gives precise control over fiber orientation, optimizing strength, stiffness, and also ride compliance. RTM helps ensure a clean, high-quality resin distribution which translates into better structural integrity and consistent layup. 

Combined, these methods yield a frame that balances lightness, stiffness, and enough compliance to handle rough gravel without feeling punishing. While the tubes are quite large for aero benefits with larger tires, the bike still feels beautifully lightweight and dances under the pedals when the power is put down. 

Tire Clearance: Grip of a Mountain Bike

One of the stand-out specs is the massive tire clearance. The Extrema Italia accommodates up to 700c / 29-inch wheels with tires up to 57 mm wide (measured width). That's pushing XC MTB territory. That gives you serious options: run large gravel tires, or borderline XC options. This build uses the Schwalbe Thunder Burt 2.1", and others have had success with the Continental Dubnital (formerly Race King) in a 2.2". 

Round Seatpost (Dropper Friendly)

One detail many adventure riders care about: a round 27.2 mm seatpost. That opens the door for dropper or suspension-seatpost options. It means when the terrain goes steep or technical, you can drop the saddle, stay centered, maintain confidence, and still get back up when needed.
