Outbound Lighting Detour Bike Light

Most bike headlights are flashlights with a handlebar strap: a round hotspot that lights up the sky, the trees and the eyes of whoever is coming the other way. Detour is built the way a car's low beam is. You get a wide, even spread of light from your front tire out to where you're looking, with a sharp cutoff at the top so drivers, other riders and people on foot aren't blinded.
We come from automotive lighting, so the beam came first, and we fine tuned the heck out of it. We also added sidemarker lights, much like on cars, so you're visible from the side too.
No battery pack and no wires. Everything is inside the light: about 1,200 lumens, USB-C charging with pass-through so a power bank keeps it running, 150 g, and slim enough to fit in your pocket.
We've incorporated our quick-release fiberglass-reinforced nylon mount that we, ahem, “borrowed” from those clever camera guys to keep everything pointing in the right direction and easy to put on and take off with one hand.
Proudly and capably made in Chicago.
