While riding, the quick engagement allows for quicker acceleration, especially out of corners and while adjusting pedal position on challenging uphill trails. The simultaneous, full engagement of the ratchets results in a larger contact area compared to pawl hubs, resulting in a more evenly distributed load and greater dependability.

Optimized hub
Enhancing engagement angle has necessitated significant changes to the drive side of the DT Swiss 240 Front 6-Bolt 32h 15x110 RED Limited Edition hub. The Ratchet DEG mechanism and its redesigned body make room for customized 90-tooth ratchets.
