Quick notes on your service:

Location:

All our factory-level suspension work is performed by Shock Therapy at the Cyclepath NW location at 2714 NW Thurman St, Portland, OR 97210. If you would like to arrange for a drop off at our eastside location please let us know ahead of time.

Service intervals:

Your suspension should have a basic service every 30-50 riding hours, and have a full overhaul every 125-200 riding hours depending on the manufacturer.

If you are riding a full suspension bike and are only inquiring about the fork or shock, it is a good idea to get both serviced at the same time to stay on top of service intervals. Your dropper post should also see routine service to keep it performing at its best.

Hours/drop-off:

Cyclepath NW is open 10am-6pm Tuesday-Saturday for drop off, if you have an appointment on a day we are not open to the public please drop it off ahead of time.

It is preferred if you can remove the fork, shock and/or dropper from the bike for drop off

If you would prefer to drop off the bike as a whole that is totally ok! To keep you riding safe, we'll l have our general service department give the bike a lookover for any additional needed service after the suspension service is completed. If any issues are found we'll send you a quote for a future service date to bring the bike back in.

This is for us to make sure that your bike as a whole is safe to ride and that you are aware of any issues that may exist, there is no requirement to proceed with the outlined repairs and the estimate is done free of charge.

Turnaround times:

We aim to have all repairs completed within approximately 48 hours of the scheduled appointment date as long we don’t encounter any issues

Common Questions:

How long does servicing my suspension take?

We typically complete suspension service within 24-48 hours of the scheduled appointment date. Please bear in mind that if there is any damage to the internal parts beyond the seals requiring replacement this may push back the timeframe.

Which location do I drop my suspension off at?

We perform all in-depth suspension work at the Westside Cyclepath location (2714 NW Thurman St.). If you would like to drop your suspension off at the Eastside location, let us know ahead of time and we can service it and return it to your original point of drop off.

Can I drop off my entire bike for suspension service?

While we prefer you drop off the fork, shock, or dropper removed from your bike, you can drop off your entire bike for suspension service. Please keep in mind that the service department will inspect the rest of the bike while the suspension service is being performed. If additional work is needed, we will contact you with a quote and a future date to schedule the repairs.

How often should my suspension be serviced?

Your suspension should have a basic service every 30-50 riding hours and a full overhaul every 125-200 riding hours depending on the manufacturer. If you ride a full suspension bike and are only inquiring about the fork or shock, it is wise to service both simultaneously to keep them on the same service interval. Keep in mind that your dropper post also needs routine service to perform its best. If you aren't great about tracking your riding hours a good rule of thumb is to get it serviced at least once a year.
