For the entire month of April, we're offering free 24-hour demos out of our West Side location so you can take it out on real trails, in real conditions, and figure out for yourself what all the fuss is about.
About the Pivot Switchblade
The Switchblade has earned a loyal following for a reason. It's a do-everything trail bike built around Pivot's dw-link suspension platform — smooth, efficient, and capable of handling everything from tight singletrack to chunky, rowdy descents. With geometry that strikes a genuine balance between playful and planted, it's the kind of bike that makes you want to ride more and worry less.
Whether you're a dedicated trail rider looking for an upgrade, someone stepping into full-suspension for the first time, or just itching to see what a premium build feels like underfoot — the Switchblade rewards every type of rider.
With 142mm of rear travel paired with 160mm of front travel, this isn't an all-out enduro bike, but it isn't a trail bike either. It fits right in the middle and truly is a PNW quiver killer. From our personal experience, it climbs amazingly well, and the longer DW link in the back helps eat up the big hits when you start going down.
How the Demo Works
Stop by the Cyclepath West Side shop any time during April and ask about the Switchblade demo. We'll get you set up with the right size, go over the bike, and send you out for a full 24 hours. Bring it back the next day, tell us what you thought.
We recommend booking ahead. Demo slots fill up fast — especially on weekends. Give us a call or stop by the shop to schedule your demo. See availability on our rentals page. (Unfortunately rentals cannot be booked for free via the rental page).
Our team at West Side knows the local trails well and is happy to point you toward routes that'll really let you explore what the bike can do. First time on the Switchblade? We've got suggestions for every skill level.
Why We're Doing This
We know buying a bike — especially at this level — is a real decision. The best way we know how to help you make it confidently is to let you ride. Not around the block, not in a parking lot, but on the trails you actually ride. A full day is enough time to get comfortable, push your limits a little, and come back with an honest opinion.
Folks that try out the Switchblade are often blown away at its ability to climb and descend in such a rideable package. As the season starts, we want to get the word out and give easy access to our demo fleet.
