Gravel

$6,000.00
LIGHTWEIGHT SPEED Some might say aero doesn’t matter on a gravel bike, but if you’ve battled a headwind across an open prairie, the thirty-two grams of drag you’ll save with the Áspero-5 come as a welcome respite. Most gravel racing is done without the benefit of a World Tour peloton—or World Tour tactics—and when it’s your nose in the wind all day, it’s nice to know your bike’s shouldering a bit of the load. TWO-POSITION ADJUSTMENT Trail—front-wheel response to rider input—is the most critical factor in high-velocity handling. Flipping the two-position "Trail Mixer" to compensate for the difference in circumference between a 650b and 700c tire maintains consistent handling by maintaining consistent trail figures. MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS We designed Aspero with clearance for up to 700c x 40mm tires or 650b x 49mm tires. Of course, there are variables—rim width, tire casing, and tread depth—which will affect final clearance. We (and the International Organization for Standardization, or ISO), always recommend 4mm of clearance between the tire and frame.

The unmatched versatility of this gravel bike gives its rider pure, unfettered freedom and access virtually everywhere. With affordable, high performing materials, elegant engineering, and a fully-featured frameset, there’s nothing stopping you from achieving your off road aspirations. Niner’s 6061 aluminum RLT 9 is welded with hydroformed aluminum tubing. This material is universally praised for affordability and versatility. Before welding, we are careful to shape the tubing to optimize strength, durability, stiffness, all the while keeping it as lightweight as possible. The latest version of our vaunted aluminum gravel frame features a new, forged chainstay yoke to improve tire clearance and stiffness. This design leaves us with an elegant and simple multi-talented platform.

The first U.P. combined road bike speed plus go-anywhere capabilities to start a whole new category. Now original U.P. features such as dual wheel size compatibility and a dropped chainstay are the standard for performance gravel bikes. -With road tires, it is a very fast road bike -With big road/cross/gravel tires (32-40mm), it’s a go-anywhere bike perfect for mixed surface rides and most gravel routes -With 650b mountain bike tires, it's unstoppable on very tough terrain yet much faster on pavement than you'd expect thanks to the road position So the position lets you get out of town and reach the gravel/dirt/trails quickly (unlike a mountain bike). Space for big tires lets you tackle any route (unlike a road bike). And you can do that with one type of tire for everything or finetune your ride with multiple wheelsets or tires. The U.P. fits mountain bike and gravel tires up to 2.1” (54mm) in 650b. It also fits 700c gravel, cross and road tires from 28-40mm wide (exact tire sizes depend on manufacturing tolerances and rim width, so always check and make sure you have 6mm clearance between tire and frame). More importantly, and more difficult to achieve, the U.P. handles well in all these configurations, as customers, media and award judges confirm time and again. So whether you ride it with road or mountain bike tires, on pavement or off-road, you always have nimble, responsive and confidence-inspiring handling.

The OPEN U.P. inspired a generation of gravel bikes that could fit up to 2.1” tires. The WI.DE. (Winding Detours) can run even bigger tires while still fitting road cranks! The monster tires help you conquer the most extreme terrain, the performance geometry & narrow Q-factor keep you efficient while the steering geometry keeps you nimble. -With 650b gravel or mountain bike tires up to 2.4”(61mm), rutted singletrack, slippery roots and loose rocks are no match -With 700c gravel tires up to 46mm, even the toughest gravel roads are tackled at lightning speed -With 700c road tires (we recommend 35-40mm wide), you have the most comfortable road bike ever invented The WI.DE. goes one better. By dropping both chainstays, the monostay just behind the bottom bracket becomes a very efficient box structure. This increases BB stiffness, reduces weight and squeezes even more tire clearance out of the frame. Most riders know that with the right bike geometry, even big tires can be fast. The WI.DE. takes this to the extreme. Of course a massive tire is not as fast as a pure road tire, but the delta is small enough that it doesn’t detract from the on-road fun. And off-road, there is no comparison. The WI.DE. retains its agility with anything from massive mountain tires to road tires.

FLAT OUT That's how Aspero debuted under the characters of the Wednesday Night Rough Club two years ago, and that's how it's stayed. And since, at Cervelo, we know that flat out doesn't stay flat out for long without a little help from science, we've come back from the drawing board with a new Aspero. A faster Aspero, a lighter Aspero, and-dare we say it-an even better looking Aspero. Our engineers like to say, if it looks fast, it probably is, but there's some truth to it, and Aspero-5 looks fast standing still. No cables in the wind, tubes derived from our library of aerodynamically proven shapes, and just a hint of a cut out in the seat tube to squeak out just a bit more tire clearance, add up to a bike that proves the adage.

MOG is a noun, verb, acronym, and unequivocally a state of mind for those who push the boundaries of distance and rolling exploration. There’s no road too long, no course too tough for those willing to MOG. AMPLE TIRE CLEARANCE The MOG has tire clearance for up to 700c x 50 mm and eliminates the need to ever think about 650b again. You don’t have to use all 50 mm of it, but we assure you, you’ll sleep easier knowing it’s there. With geometry optimized around a 42 mm tire, the MOG’s versatility allows an expansive range of tire size from 35 mm up to 50 mm. INTEGRATED STORAGE The MOG debuts ENVE’s Cargo Bay, an integrated downtube storage solution that makes efficient use of unused space for stashing your flat tire repair kit, windbreaker, or anything else you choose to carry. Under the Cargo Door, two Cargo Bags allow for 36 cubic inches/0.6 liters of storage. It’s a fast and simple storage solution that can be appreciated by racers and adventurers alike. INTEGRATION WITHOUT ALIENATION Hidden hoses and wires are the name of the game when it comes to the modern bicycle and the expectations of the rider. ENVE’s IN-Route System is designed to hide hoses and wires from the wind, improving the bike’s aero performance with a practical and user-friendly solution. This doesn’t come at the expense of limiting drivetrain options – the MOG is compatible with most drivetrain brands, models, and configurations on the market.

The RLT 9 Steel is for the purist, the rider who’s after the classic aesthetics of smooth, supple steel. Whether it’s on pavement or gravel road, this bike craves long adventures. With plenty of room for all your gear, the only thing stopping you from your next ride is your imagination. Go ahead, take the ride of your dreams with the RLT 9 Steel. In practical terms, Reynolds 853 is a nearly perfect material for creating bike frames. Rather than being weakened by heat, the frame tube junctions actually strengthen after TIG welding. This allows the use of thinner, lighter frame tubes without any sacrifice in durability or strength. Additionally, steel-framed bicycles have a well-earned reputation for rugged, dependable reliability. Steel has a way of brushing off the inevitable scratches, dings, and rough treatment that accompanies the best adventures. No matter if you have a cross-continent excursion or a county line commute, the RLT 9 steel loves to be loaded up and rolled out.
